For Patients

I don't think patients should need dentists, and ultimately my goal is to not have any patients (because they don't need my services). Yes, I'm a trained surgeon, but I would rather help every person become healthy so they don't need to become a dental patient. To that end, I can offer the following advice (but there really is so much more):

I'm not sure how you ended up here, but this isn't the best way to become a patient

Tooth decay is the result of many factors, some of which you can control. A one-size-fits-all solution like "brushing, flossing, and using fluoride" might be a cost-effective strategy for some people, but when you begin to look at individuals, the treatment should be tailored to the unique conditions present within each person's mouth. My goals are to decrease the bad bacteria, make the good bacteria more abundant, and improve the salivary chemistry so everything stays in balance. We have lots of products to overcome various challenges, BUT I think everyone [who is at high risk for cavities] can benefit from finding the softest toothbrush possible, adding baking soda into their toothpaste, and consuming more arginine. The latest science says the most predictive behavior for tooth decay is skipping breakfast - that might seem crazy, but there's a lot of science behind this new finding, and it's really cool. So be sure to eat a nutritious breakfast with a ton of protein like oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, malt-o-meal, cream of wheat, or farro. When you notice a craving for sweets, try eating something salty instead and check the pH of your favorite beverage.

If you are at a point where you KNOW you need a dentist, Soda (pictured above and right) and I would be more than happy to help you never see a dentist again. We see patients by appointment only in traditional and non-traditional settings, using whichever environment is most comfortable for the patient. Often our patients begin with a tele-dental visit then transition to in-person, then in-office care.

Our team believes the best care occurs when patients come first. We offer private ground transportation as well as overnight accommodations (one block from the office), for our out-of-town patients. To begin your patient journey, simply call Brittany at 978.741.1640 or text message Dr. Novy directly at 909.856.0699 (please do not text confidential information).
